Managing Single Sign-On (SSO) Options for your myQ Account

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a login method that lets you use one account to sign into multiple apps or services, including the myQ app. Instead of creating a separate username and password for myQ, you just tap Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or Login with Amazon, and it logs you in using that account's credentials.

 


 

Create a myQ Account Using Single Sign On (SSO)

  1. Download or make sure you have the latest version of the myQ app. 
  2. Open the app.
  3. Tap Register.
  4. Select your preferred SSO provider:
    • Amazon
    • Apple
    • Google

  1. Once your SSO provider is selected, it will launch a new window showing an SSO authentication screen.
  2. Log in using your credentials for that provider.
  3. Once the SSO provider validates your credentials, you will be able to log in to the myQ app.

🔒 Password resets must be handled through your SSO provider (Google, Apple, or Amazon).

 


Link SSO to an Existing myQ Account

If you currently have a myQ account and want to use the Single Sign On (SSO) feature, follow the steps below:

Important: Your myQ account email must match the email on your SSO account.

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of the myQ app.

  2. Open the app and tap Log In.

  3. Select the SSO option that matches your email:
    • Google
    • Apple
    • Amazon

  4. Log in using your SSO credentials.

  5. Your account will link automatically. You’ll see your devices in the app.

    When linking Apple, make sure to choose “Share my Email”. If you choose “Hide my Email,” a new account will be created under a relay email and your devices won’t appear.

  6. Authenticate your login by entering your email and password or your phone's biometric login (Touch ID/Face ID/Fingerprint). 
    • Your account will automatically be linked, and you will see your devices in the app.
