myQ Account | How to Create an Account & Sign In

Setting up a myQ account allows you to control and monitor your myQ devices from the app. Follow these steps to create, log in, and manage your account.


Create a myQ Account

Step 1: Start Registration

  1. Download and open the myQ app
  2. Tap Register.

Step 2: Choose Registration Method

Select one of the following:

Step 3: Enter Account Information

  1. Select your country
  2. Review and accept the License Agreement and Terms of Service
  3. Create a password that meets the requirements shown in the app
  4. Tap Submit

Step 4: Verify Your Email Address

  1. Check your email inbox for a verification message
  2. Open the email and tap the verification link
  3. The myQ app will open confirming email verification is complete

💡If you receive Error 201, your email is already associated with a myQ account. 

Step 5: Add and Verify Your Phone Number

After email verification, you will be prompted to add a phone number.

  1. Enter your phone number
  2. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent via SMS
  3. Tap Verify

Step 6: Complete Security Setup (Two-Step Verification)

Next, you will complete your login verification setup.

  1. Choose how you want to receive login verification codes:
    • Phone number (SMS)
    • Email
  2. Select your primary method
  3. Confirm your selection

Step 7: Optional Communication Preferences

You may choose whether to receive offers and updates from myQ by selecting the available checkboxes.


Step 8: Completion Screen

Once setup is complete, a success screen will confirm your myQ account has been created.


How to Log Into Your myQ Account

  1. Enter your email and password
    • Or use your Single Sign-On (Apple, Google, Amazon)
  2. Tap Login
  3. Select Remember Login if you want the app to save your credentials

You may be prompted for a verification code when signing in on a new device or after signing out.


How to Log Out of the myQ App

  1. Open Menu 
  2. Scroll and select Sign Out
  3. Confirm by tapping OK

Error 201: Username Already Exists

If you receive Error 201, your email is already associated with a myQ account.

Try the following:


myQ Users, Co-Owners, and Account Sharing

A myQ account is designed for one person. Each user should have their own login.

Do not share your email and password with other users, even within the same household.

How to Share Access

If other people need access to your myQ devices, use the myQ Users feature instead of sharing your login.

You can:

  • Invite Co-Owners or Household Users
  • Add temporary guests using Quick Pass

Each user has their own account and signs in separately.
