Reconnect your Garage Door Opener to a myQ Smart Device

When you clear the memory of your garage door opener or replace the receiver/logic board, it erases all programmed remote controls and keypads from your opener. This also removes the remote code the myQ Smart Garage Hub or Smart Garage Control uses to control the garage door. As a result, the door will not activate from the myQ app and may appear in "Monitor Door Only" mode without being recognized as such. To restore functionality, follow the steps below to re-pair your garage door opener to the hub.

If the app displays "Monitor Door Only", see Monitor Door Only Mode.

Steps to Delete and Re-pair the Door Sensor

Delete the Currently Paired Door Sensor

  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access Device Settings:
    • If your app has a Gear Icon in the top right corner, tap the Gear Icon.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials
  3. Tap Devices.
  4. Select the hub associated with the device.
