How to View Motion Events in the myQ App

Motion Events are recordings of activity that happened in the Camera's field of view. Motion Events are available during the 30-day free trial period, and then are only accessible with a video subscription plan. Note: Motion Events will only be recorded when Motion Recording is enabled on the Camera Settings page of the myQ app. To set up this feature, see How to Enable Motion Recording in the myQ App.

How to view Motion Events

1. Log in to the myQ app.
2. Tap History at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap on the Video tab at the top of the screen. 
4. Tap the desired Motion Event to view the recorded clip.

How to delete Motion Events

There are two (2) ways to delete your video from the history tab.  

Option 1:

1. Tap History at the bottom of the home screen.
2. Tap Video on the top menu.
3. Find the video you would like to delete.
4. Tap the Three Dots to the right of the video.
5. Tap Delete.

Option 2:

1. Tap History at the bottom of the home screen. 
2. Tap Video on the top menu.
3. Scroll to the video you would like to delete. 
   1. Tap on the recorded motion event. 
      1. The recorded event will open and start to play.
4. Tap Delete under the video.

How to delete multiple videos

1. Tap History at the bottom of the home screen 
2. Tap Video on the top menu 
3. Tap on the trash can in the upper right corner of the Video tab 
   • You will have two options to delete multiple videos. 
4. Tap on Delete All Events. You will see a confirmation pop-up advising “This is permanent, and you won’t be able to undo this deletion.” This will delete all events on that mobile device. 
5. Tap on Delete All Events from a Device. You will see a list of all cameras on the account. Select the camera you want to delete events from. You will see a confirmation pop-up advising “This is permanent, and you won’t be able to undo this deletion.” This will delete all events on that mobile device for the selected camera.

Additional Video Options

When you are in the Video section of the History tab, you are able to:     

• • Share – Allows you to send the motion event through your phone.
  • Download – Allows you to download the video to your phone’s media storage.
  • Favorite – Allows you to flag that video as a favorite and is marked with a star icon.
    • This will allow you to filter by your favorite videos
