myQ Video AI Processing | Search Video History and Notifications

Video AI Processing helps you quickly find important moments and better understand activity captured by your cameras. It adds search functionality to your video history and enhances notifications with clear, descriptive summaries.

Before You Begin

The following are required to use Video AI Processing features:

How to Search Your Video History

  1. Open the History tab in the myQ app.
  2. Tap the Search field above recent events.
  3. Enter a keyword or phrase that describes what you are looking for, such as:
    • “white dog”
    • “delivery truck”
    • “person in red shirt”
  4. The History tab updates to show only recordings that match your search.

    Search Tips

    • Use simple, descriptive keywords for best results
    • Search results depend on detected objects and may vary
    • Not all activity may be recognized or labeled
    • If no results appear, try a different or more general term.

    Understand Descriptive Notifications

Descriptive notifications provide short summaries of detected activity when notifications are turned on for a camera. These summaries help you quickly understand what happened without watching the full recording.

    Examples:

    • “A yellow car drove down the street”
    • “A person walked up the driveway”

Important Information About How Descriptive Notifications

    • Notification summaries are temporary.
    • The descriptive summary appears only in the notification itself.
    • Once the notification is dismissed, the summary cannot be retrieved or viewed again.
    • When you tap a notification:
      • If the event is still occurring, the app opens the live video feed.
      • If the event has ended, the app opens the recorded event in video history.
    • The video history does not show the same descriptive summary that appeared in the notification.

    Troubleshooting
