What features come with a myQ Video Monitoring Subscription?

  • Video Storage: Save and replay events for up to 30 days. Tag and download videos to easily find and share.
  • Smart Detection: Receive alerts to know what triggered your camera.
  • Motion Detection: Get notified when motion is detected. .
  • People Detection: Get notified when a person is seen. 
  • Face Detection*: Get notified when a recognized face is seen. See Location Restrictions.
  • Detection Zones: Choose specific areas for the camera to watch, reducing unnecessary alerts. 
  • Preview Notifications: Press and hold the notification to quickly see what happened from your phone’s lock screen.
  • Customize Settings: Choose which notifications you want to receive. 
  • Motion Sensitivity: Adjust how sensitive the camera is to movement.

Face Detection

Face detection lets your camera recognize known faces and send personalized alerts.

Will each camera have 30 days of history with the Ultra plan? 

Yes, each camera stores 30 days of recorded video history events.


What devices are eligible for the myQ Basic Video Plan?

This plan will only apply to users with a Secure View Garage Door Opener with an Integrated Camera. 


Can I add cameras to my current Essential Plan?

No, the current Essential plan is on a per-camera basis, and you will need to cancel and subscribe to the Ultra plan option in order to add an additional camera.


What happens to my subscription if I delete my camera from the myQ app?

    If you delete your camera, you must cancel your subscription, or you will continue to be billed. 


    What happens when I cancel my subscription?

    Your subscription will remain active until the end of your billing cycle. At the end of your subscription billing cycle, you will lose access to the features like video storage, smart detection, detection zones, preview notifications, setting customization, including sensitivity settings. 


    How do I cancel my myQ Video Storage Subscription?

    1. Open the myQ app.
    2. Access Account Menu:
      • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap Menu.
      • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials
    3. Tap myQ Video Monitoring.
    4. Tap Manage Your Subscription.
    5. Login, if prompted.
    6. Select Cancel on the subscription you would like to cancel.
    7. After canceling, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle and will not be renewed.

    How can I delete videos from the History tab?

    To Delete Individual Videos:

    1. Tap History at the bottom of the home screen.
    2. Tap Video on the top menu.
    3. Scroll to the video you would like to delete.
    4. Tap the Three Dots to the right of the video or tap on the video (the video will play).
    5. Tap Delete.

    To Delete Multiple Videos: 

    1. Tap History at the bottom of the home screen.
    2. Tap Video on the top menu.
    3. Tap on the Trash Can in the upper right corner of the Video tab.
      • You will have two options to delete multiple videos:
        • Tap on Delete All Events. You will see a confirmation pop up advising “This is permanent, and you won’t be able to undo this deletion.” This will delete all events on that mobile device.
        • Tap on Delete All Events from a Device. You will see a list of all cameras on the account. Select the camera you want to delete events from. You will see a confirmation pop up advising “This is permanent, and you won’t be able to undo this deletion.” This will delete all events on that mobile device for the selected camera. 

    *Face Detection is supported in the US and CA, excluding the state of Illinois for all devices. It is also excluded in Texas & Washington for all LiftMaster or Chamberlain garage door openers with an integrated camera and the myQ Smart Garage Camera (models myQ-SGC1WLM & myQ-SGC1WCH with serial numbers beginning TC-0001).
