myQ Video AI Processing | Enable or Disable

Video AI Processing enhances how video activity appears in the myQ app. It adds searchable recordings and more descriptive notifications, so activity is easier to understand and find.

With Video AI Processing enabled, you can:

  • Search recordings using keywords
  • Receive detailed notifications with clear summaries of events

Examples of Descriptive Notifications:

  • “A man pushed a garbage can out of the garage”
  • “A branch fell into the driveway”

Requirements

  • Requires an active myQ Video subscription
  • Requires the latest version of the myQ app

Enable Video AI Processing

Video AI Processing can be turned on from multiple places in the myQ app:

Option 1: During Camera Setup

  1. Follow the on‑screen prompts to enable Video AI Processing.
  2. When prompted, review the myQ Search processing terms.
  3. Tap Accept to complete setup.

Option 2: From the History Tab

  1. In the myQ app, tap History.
  2. Tap the Search videos field above your recordings.
  3. Tap Enable.
  4. Review the myQ Search processing terms and tap Accept.

Option 3: From Account Settings

  1. Open the Account Menu.
  2. Tap Video Monitoring.
  3. Tap Video AI Processing.
  4. Tap Enable Feature.
  5. Review the myQ Search processing terms and tap Accept

Turn Video AI Processing On or Off

  1. In the myQ app, open the Account Menu.
  2. Tap Video Monitoring.
  3. Tap Video AI Processing.
  4. Use the toggle to turn the feature On or Off.
  5. A message will appear advising of what will happen when it is turned off, tap Turn Off.

Manage Which Cameras Use Video AI Processing

  1. In the myQ app, open the Account Menu.
  2. Tap Video Monitoring.
  3. Tap Video AI Processing.
  4. Tap Devices.
  5. View the list of cameras on the account.
    • AI Processing Enabled Devices
  6. Toggle each camera On or Off to control where Video AI Processing is active.
Tip: If you enabled Video AI Processing but do not see results for a specific camera, confirm that camera is toggled On under Video AI Processing>Devices.

What Happens When You Disable Video AI Processing

When you turn off Video AI Processing:
  • Recordings stop processing using the AI service immediately
  • AI-powered features are turned off
  • You can return later and re-enable Video AI Processing

Troubleshooting: If You Do Not See Video AI Processing

Try the following:
  •  Confirm your subscription: Verify you have an active myQ Video subscription.
  • Check Devices: If the feature is enabled but not working for a camera, confirm the camera is online and that the AI Processing is toggled On under Account menu>myQ Video Monitoring>Devices.
  • Restart the app: Close and re-open the myQ app and check again.
  • Sign out and sign in: If the option still does not appear, sign out of the myQ app and sign back in.
