Email Updates

Follow these steps to enable or disable push and email notifications in the myQ app.


Enabling and Disabling Notifications

  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access Settings:
    • If your app has a Gear Icon in the top right corner, tap the Gear Icon.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Select the device you want to manage.
  5. Use the slider next to each notification to turn it on or off.
    This disables or enables both push and email notifications for that device.
  6. Tap on a specific notification to manage additional settings.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to customize Push and Email notification preferences separately.

If You Have the Older Version of the App

  1. Open the myQ app and log in.

  2. Tap the Gear Icon within the device view.

  3. Tap Notifications.

  4. Use the slider next to each notification to enable or disable it.

  5. Tap Save.

 


To Manage App Notification Permissions

These steps control whether the app can send any push notifications to your phone.

  1. Open the myQ app.

  2. Go to the Account Menu:

    • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right, tap Menu.

    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials.

  3. Tap Manage Account.

  4. Tap Notification Settings.

  5. From here, you can adjust your phone’s settings to allow or block app notifications.

Turning app notifications off will disable all push notifications. You will no longer receive alerts for any device linked to your account.

 


Note:

  • Push notifications: Each phone with the myQ app installed will receive push notifications if enabled.

  • Email notifications: Sent only to a valid email address associated with the account. To receive emails on multiple devices, each device must have access to the same email account.
