Unable to Connect the Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener to Wi-Fi Network and LED Lights Blinks Blue and Green

When attempting to connect a myQ Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener to your home network, the LED indicator lights will go through a sequence of blinks before the LED turns solid green to confirm connection. Each step of the sequence indicates what the myQ Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener is attempting to do, and how you approach troubleshooting depends on the LED behavior and color.

A Blinking blue and green LED indicates that your myQ Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener was unable to connect to your home’s Wi-Fi network.

Note: If a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is being used to connect a myQ device, the speed of the connection may be weak and could impact the myQ device connection. If a VPN is being used, we suggest choosing one that allows protection of the Wi-Fi network without affecting speed.

  6. Follow the in-app process to update the Wi-Fi settings on your myQ Garage Door Opener and ensure your mobile device is close to your myQ Garage Door Opener.
    • See: How to Reconnect to myQ after Changing your Router or Settings.
    • If your myQ Garage Door Opener continues to display a blinking blue and green LED, verify if MAC address filtering is enabled on your router and see other Recommended Router Settings for the myQ Wi-Fi Products. If your router does have MAC Address Filtering enabled, we suggest adding the Garage Door Openers MAC address to your router's allowed MAC Address list.
