How to Set Up the Integrated Camera in the myQ App

This guide explains how to set up the Integrated Camera in the myQ app. 

How to Setup the Integrated Camera by Itself in the myQ App

Before you Begin

Make sure you have to following:

  • A smartphone or tablet
  • 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi network
  • A strong Wi-Fi signal in the garage or mounting location
  • Your Wi-Fi network name and password
  • Bluetooth enabled on your smartphone or tablet

Prepare the Camera

In order to get started, the LED light on the Integrated Camera must be blinking blue. If the LED is not blinking blue or is flashing blue/green, unplug the power supply and reconnect the power supply.

Steps to Connect using an Apple or Android Mobile Device

  1. Log into your myQ account
  2. Open the myQ app.
  3. Access settings:
    • If your app has a Gear Icon in the top right corner, tap the Gear Icon.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials
  4. Tap Devices or Device Management
  5. Tap the + icon or Add a new device.
  6. Tap Video Solution
  7. Select Secure View Camera
    • Note: If the Secure View Camera option is not available, see below.
  8. In the myQ App, tap Ready on the Camera Setup screen.
  9. Review and tap Next on the What You Need screen.
    • Note: If Bluetooth is not enabled, a message will appear asking to enable.
  10. Review and tap Next on the Open Camera screen.
  11. Tap your Camera on the Discovered screen.
  12. Select your home's Wi-Fi network name from the list.
  13. Enter your network password and tap Next.
  14. Name your camera and tap Finish.

Note: If this is the first time setting up this camera, you will receive a notification with an offer for a free 30-day video storage trial.

 

Connecting when Secure View Camera option is not available

The common reason the Secure View Camera option not being available is due to the logic board of the garage door opener being replaced. To setup the camera, the opener must be deleted from the account and setup as an Opener with Camera  under Video Solution. See the articles below for assistance on removing the opener and setting it up. Note: The camera must be setup while reconnecting the opener.
