How to Set Up a Garage Door Opener with Integrated Camera in the myQ App

Follow these simple steps to set up your garage door opener with an integrated camera using the myQ app.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following:

  • A smartphone
  • 2.4GHz home Wi-Fi network
  • A strong Wi-Fi signal in the garage. For help with determining this, see How to test the Wi-Fi signal strength in my garage
  • Your Wi-Fi network name and password
  • The myQ App will not operate the garage door opener when operating under battery power.
  • The Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener must run a complete cycle before Wi-Fi can be activated.
  • Incorrect network passwords will prevent connection, indicated by a continuous blue LED. If this happens, exit programming and start over.
