Garage Door Opener with Integrated Camera | Set Up in the myQ App

Follow these steps to add a garage door opener with an integrated camera to the myQ app and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

• A smartphone with the myQ app installed.
• A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
• Your Wi-Fi network name and password.
• A strong Wi-Fi signal in the garage.

Important Notes

• The garage door opener must complete one full open and close cycle before Wi-Fi setup can begin.
• The myQ app cannot operate the garage door opener while it is running on battery backup power. 
• Entering an incorrect Wi-Fi password may prevent the opener from connecting. If setup fails, restart the setup process and verify the password.

Set Up the Garage Door Opener with Integrated Camera

Open Device Setup in the myQ App

1. Open the myQ app.
2. Tap Settings ⚙ (gear icon) in the bottom-right corner.
3. Tap My Devices.
4. Tap Add a new device.
5. Tap Garage Door Opener.
6. Tap Opener with Camera.
7. Review the information on the What You Need screen.
8. Tap Next.

Put the Garage Door Opener Into Wi-Fi Setup Mode

Select the instructions that match your wall control.

Smart Control Panel ⌄

• Tap Menu.
• Use the down arrow and select Program by tapping the side arrow.
• Use the down arrow and select Wi-Fi Setup by tapping the side arrow.

Motion-Detecting Control Panel or myQ Control Panel ⌄

• Lift the button cover.
• Press and release the LEARN button.

Door Control Button ⌄

Press and hold the LEARN button (located on the side) for 6 seconds. The LED light under the front button will begin to flash.

Connect the Garage Door Opener to Wi-Fi

1. Tap the discovered garage door opener when it appears.
2. When prompted, pull down the integrated camera and tap Next.
3. Select your home Wi-Fi network.
4. Enter your Wi-Fi password.
5. Tap Next.
6. Wait while the garage door opener connects to your Wi-Fi network.
7. Enter a name for the garage door opener.
8. Tap Next.

✅ What success looks like:

The garage door opener appears in the myQ app and can be controlled remotely.

What Happens to the Integrated Camera?

The integrated camera is added to your myQ account during setup.

If this is the first time setting up the integrated camera, you may receive a notification offering a free 30-day video storage trial.
