How to Delete a Device in the myQ App

  2. Access Account Menu:
    • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap Menu.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials
  1. Select Device Management.

  2. Tap the hub connected to the device you want to delete.

  3. Find the device:

    • On iPhone: Press and swipe left on the device you want to delete.

    • On Android: Press and hold the device you want to delete.

  4. Tap Delete, then confirm by tapping Yes.

    • Deleting a hub will delete all devices linked under that hub.

    Error 601

    • If you are trying to delete only the garage door opener (GDO) but not the Wi-Fi hub it's connected to, you'll see this error:

"This garage door is permanently linked to its hub and cannot be removed. To remove the garage door opener, go to Device Management and remove the Wi-Fi GDO. (601)."

    • This is because the opener and hub are permanently linked and function as one unit in the myQ app. To remove the opener, you must remove the hub it's tied to.
    • If you didn’t rename the hub during setup, its name will match the garage door opener’s name. You’ll find it listed under Hubs in Device Management.
    • Deleting a hub will delete all devices linked under that hub.
