How to Add, Delete, and Manage Video Keypad PINs in the myQ App

At the end of the myQ Video Keypad in-app setup, you will have the option to create PIN codes for a myQ Co-Owner and/or a myQ Household User. These PIN codes can be created in addition to the main PIN you created and used to previously pair to your Garage Door Opener.

Follow these steps to set up PINs for your Video Keypad. 

 

Add a Co-Owner PIN During Setup

Note: If you do not wish to create a Co-Owner PIN, tap Skip for Now.

  1. After installing the myQ Video Keypad, tap Set Up PINs.
    • Here you can:
      • Select an existing Co-Owner you would like to create a PIN for
      • Add a new Co-Owner and create a new PIN for them
  1. After selecting an existing Co-Owner or creating a new one, tap Next.
  2. Create a 4-8 digit PIN for this co-owner and tap Save PIN.
  • You will now be directed to the Add a Family & Friends PIN screen.

Add a Family & Friends PIN

Note: If you do not wish to create a myQ Family & Friends PIN, tap Skip for Now.
 

  1. Tap Add a Household User.
  2. Enter the name of the user you would like to invite.
    • You can pull from your phone contacts.
  3. On the Choose a Pass screen, select whether you would like to grant Temporary or Recurring access and follow the instructions to complete your request.
  • Provide a Temporary Pass
    1. Select Access Period.
    2. Choose which device you would like your Family & Friend User to have access to.
    3. Create a unique 4-8 digit PIN to give to your User.
    4. Tap Send Temporary Pass.
    • You will be prompted to select your Family & Friend name from your phone contact list before sending.
  • Provide a Recurring Pass 

Note: This is recommended for ongoing services like cleaning, dog walker, home renovation services, etc.

    1. Select Access Period
    2. Choose which device you would like your Family & Friend User to have access to
    3. Create a unique 4-8 digit PIN to give to your Family & Friend User
    4. Tap Send Recurring Pass
    • You will be prompted to select your Family & Friend name from your phone contact list before sending

Manage Existing PINs

The following instructions will help add or manage PINs for your Video Keypad within the myQ app.

  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access Account Menu:
    • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap Menu.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials. 
  3. Tap Device Management.
  4. Under Cameras, tap your Video Keypad.
  5. Tap PINs
    • Here, you can Add, Delete or Change any existing PINs
