myQ Video Keypad PIN Management

Managing your myQ Video Keypad PIN ensures seamless access across all devices on your account.

How Pins Work

• Each PIN is tied to a user, not each individual Video Keypad. This means that once a PIN is assigned to a user, the same 4–8-digit PIN must be used for all Video Keypads listed on the myQ account.  
• Types of Users: 
  • Account Owner
  • Co-Owner
  • Family & Friend
• Once a PIN is assigned to a user, the same 4–8-digit PIN must be used for all Video Keypads listed on the myQ account.
  • Example: When the Account Owner creates a PIN for the first Video Keypad, this same PIN must be reused for every additional keypad they add to the account. Co-Owners and Family & Friends must also use the same PIN for all keypads shared with them.

How to Add the First Video Keypad

1. Open the myQ app and follow the in-app setup to connect your Video Keypad to Wi-Fi.
2. Create a 4-8 digit PIN when prompted.
   • It is important to take note of the pin as it will be required when setting up subsequent Video Keypads.

How to Add Additional myQ Video Keypads 

1. Open the myQ app and follow the in-app setup to connect your Video Keypad to Wi-Fi.
2. When creating a PIN, you are required to use the same 4–8-digit PIN you created for the first Video Keypad.
   • If not, you will receive an error stating “Oops!, This user already has a PIN on your account”.
3. Once the PIN has been set, you may continue to pair your myQ Video Keypad to your Garage Door Opener.

PIN Management for Co-Owners and Family & Friends

• When a Co-Owner or Family & Friend is invited to the account, they must create a 4–8-digit PIN.
• This PIN will apply to all Video Keypads shared with them from the Account Owner’s myQ account.
