myQ Video Doorbell | Use the Call Button Feature

The myQ Video Doorbell call feature lets visitors alert the homeowner by pressing the doorbell’s call button. This guide explains how to use the feature, what happens during a call, and how to access missed calls.

How to Make a Call on the myQ Video Doorbell

1. Locate the Ring Button on the Video Doorbell.
2. Press the Ring Button.
   • The Video Doorbell will emit a chime.
   • If a myQ Wireless Chime is installed or the doorbell is connected to a home chime, these will ring as well.
   • The account owner, Co-Owner (if added to the account), and any mobile device logged into the owner's account will receive a notification that someone is calling and promt to Tap to See Who’s at Your Door.
   • The account owner has 30 seconds to tap the notification and launch the myQ app to answer the call.

Note: If the call is not answered within 30 seconds, a recording is saved. Recordings are accessible in the History menu within the myQ app for customers with a paid video subscription.

myQ Video Doorbell Call Capabilities

During the Call

If answered within 30 seconds, the myQ app opens to Live View. From here, the account owner can:

• Talk to the person at the door.
• Control the microphone and speaker.
• Take snapshots.
• Check battery life and Wi-Fi signal strength.

Missed Call

If the call is not answered within 30 seconds, it is recorded as a motion event if you have a paid video subscription. To view a missed call:

1. Open the History tab in the myQ app.
2. Tap Video or Access.
3. Select the Missed Call thumbnail to view the recorded event.
