How do I link my compatible Nissan to myQ Connected Garage?

  • myQ access control requires a myQ-enabled garage door opener or a Smart Garage (R) Control device. Check if your garage door opener is myQ compatible:
  • If you are new to myQ, download the myQ Garage & Access Control mobile app onto your mobile device, create an account, and sign in.
  • Connect your myQ connected garage door devices via the myQ mobile app using the onscreen setup tutorial and ensure they are controllable via myQ mobile app before linking.
  • Be sure your vehicle is parked safely either inside or outside your garage before beginning.
  • Make sure there are no garage door obstructions.

Onboarding Instructions

    1. Power on your vehicle and remain in the parked position.
    2. From your vehicle’s touchscreen, navigate to the Apps list and select myQ Garage.
    3. Scan the QR Code using your mobile device.
      • This will take you to a myQ | Nissan welcome page.
    4. On your mobile device, tap Sign In if you are an existing myQ User.
      • If you are a new myQ user, tap Learn More to get signed up.
    5. Review Authorization Consent and tap Authorize.
    6. Review the Disclaimer on the vehicle touchscreen and tap OK.
    7. Your vehicle is now linked to your myQ garage door opener(s).

 

How do I unlink my Nissan from myQ Connected Garage?

  1. Power on your vehicle and remain in the parked position.
  2. From your vehicle’s touchscreen, navigate to the Apps list and select myQ Garage.
  3. Tap Logout.

 

What service plan options are available for Nissan + myQ Connected Garage?

The service is included in your NissanConnect® Services on compatible vehicles with the select package for 5 years. 

Do I have to enter my credit card information for a free trial?

No, a credit card is not required, the service is included through NissanConnect® Services on compatible vehicles with the select package for 5 years. 

 

How can I add a myQ Connected Garage to an additional Nissan vehicle?

Confirm your Nissan vehicle is compatible and follow the account linking process.

 

Can a myQ Co-Owner or a myQ Guest link myQ Connected Garage with Nissan?

Yes, Co-Owners can link their myQ Connected Garage account to a myQ compatible Nissan vehicle.  At this time, myQ Connected Garage does not support Guests, Household, or quick pass users. 

 

What myQ devices can I control/monitor in my Nissan vehicle?

Supported myQ devices include myQ-compatible garage door openers with status/controls via In-Vehicle-Infotainment touchscreen display.  Voice, gates, locks, cameras, and light controls are not supported.

 

How do I set up Geofencing Mode in my vehicle?

  1. Power on your vehicle and remain in the parked position.
  2. Position your vehicle in your driveway, outside of the garage door.
  3. Navigate to the Apps list and select myQ Garage.
  4. Tap on your garage door edit (pencil) icon and ensure your garage door opener is set as default.
  5. Enable Geofencing Mode then tap on Add to Set Garage Location.
  6. Tap Set when you see your location on the displayed map.
    • Set Geofencing Range (ft) to your preferred distance.
    • Note: Performance may vary depending on your geographic location and GPS signal/availability.

 

How do I set up Close Door Reminder in my vehicle?

  1. Navigate to the Apps list and select myQ Garage.
    • If you have multiple garage doors set up, choose the garage door you want to set up for the Reminder.
  2. Tap on the Edit (pencil) icon in the upper right corner of your selected garage door and ensure your garage door opener is set as default.
  3. Enable Close Door Reminder and set your desired reminder prompt time in the Remind Me In field between 1 to 10 minutes after you leave home, and a pop-up reminder will appear on your touchscreen to close your garage door.

 

How to determine if your garage door opener is Wi-Fi compatible?

My device code does not work during account linking.

The device code expires after 5 minutes after it appears on the account linking screen.  Navigate back to the In-vehicle-infotainment touchscreen display apps menu and re-select myQ Garage App to reset the device code.
