- Visit the https://update.hyundai.com/.
- Download the latest vehicle software update.
- Install the update using a USB flash drive.
After the update is complete, the Connected Garage app should appear in your apps list.
How do I link my compatible Hyundai to myQ Connected Garage?
myQ access control requires a myQ‑enabled garage door opener or a Smart Garage Control device.
Before you begin:
- Confirm your garage door opener is myQ compatible by visiting the myQ Compatibility Tool.
- If your opener is not compatible, you can purchase a discounted Smart Garage Control during account linking.
- Download the myQ Garage and Access Control mobile app and sign in or create an account.
- Add and test your garage door devices in the myQ mobile app.
- Park your vehicle just outside the garage door and ensure the vehicle is powered on.
- Make sure the garage door area is clear of obstructions.
To link your account:
- On the vehicle touchscreen, open the Connected Garage app.
- Scan the QR code using your mobile device.
- The Hyundai with Bluelink app will open and start the linking process.
- Tap Connect to myQ Account.
- The myQ Garage and Access Control app will open.
- Select Free Trial or Purchase Plan.
- Return to the vehicle touchscreen and relaunch the Connected Garage app.

To add another vehicle:
- Confirm the additional vehicle is linked to the primary Hyundai with Bluelink account.
- In the additional vehicle, open the Connected Garage app.
- Complete the linking process.
All vehicles on the primary account will share the same subscription at no additional cost.
Can a myQ co‑owner or myQ guest access my Hyundai vehicle?
- Co‑owners linked through the primary Hyundai with Bluelink account can access and control connected garage doors.
- myQ Guest Access is not supported in Hyundai vehicles.
What myQ devices can I control or monitor in my Hyundai?
Supported devices include myQ‑compatible garage door openers with open and close status shown on the vehicle touchscreen.
The following features are not supported:
- Voice control
- Gates
- Locks
- Cameras

How do I set up Geofence Mode in my vehicle?
To configure automatic open and close features:
- Park your vehicle in the driveway just outside the garage door.
- Keep the vehicle powered on and in park.
- Open the Connected Garage app.
- Select the garage door tile.
- Tap Set to save your garage location.
- Turn on Auto‑open Upon Arrival.
- Turn on Auto‑close Upon Leaving.
- Set the geofence distance in feet.

My QR code does not work during account linking
The QR code expires after five minutes.
To refresh the code:
- Tap the three‑line menu and select Refresh, or
- Exit the Connected Garage app and reopen it from the apps menu.
How many garage door openers can be displayed on the Hyundai touchscreen?
Up to eight garage door openers can be displayed and controlled from the vehicle touchscreen.
