Test your mobile device’s internet connectivity. You can run internet speeds through your browser by visiting speedtest.net. Do you have internet connectivity?
Yes – proceed to Step 2
No – Please contact your cell phone provider for assistance on how to get internet on your mobile device.
Go out to the garage and activate the garage door opener with a handheld remote or the garage door control button on the wall. Does the door activate?
Yes – proceed to Step 3

Open the myQ Garage Access app. Can you activate the garage door opener with the app?
Yes – Proceed to Step 4

Log back into the myQ Community app. Go to your account and look at the app version at the bottom of the page. For iOS, the app version should be 3.7.1 or newer. For Android, the app version should be 3.7.0.887. Is the app 3.7.X or newer?

No – proceed to step 5
Update the app through the Apple app store or Google Play store. Once updated, test the app again by activating the garage door. Did the door activate?
Yes – The issue is resolved
No – Proceed to step 6.
Unlink the myQ Garage Access app. Once unlinked, link the myQ Garage Access app and try activating the garage door. Did the door activate?
Yes – The issue is resolved
