Snooze Feature for myQ Camera

The myQ app has a new feature that lets you snooze notifications from your myQ camera. This means you can pause alerts when you don't want to be disturbed.

How does it work:                                             

Users must have a camera added and online in the myQ app.

To Snooze Notifications

1. Tap on the Snooze icon located in the upper right corner of the home screen.

2. A menu with 3 options to Snooze notifications will pop up. Select one option and tap Snooze. Once an option is selected, the user will return to the home screen.

• Important Notes:
  • Users will be alerted with the message when they first initiate snooze: “Some critical device and security-related notifications will also be snoozed during this period.”
  • The Snooze feature will apply to ALL homes on the user’s account.
  • If the user selects “Until tomorrow morning”, the snooze will last until 6:00 AM in your time zone the following day.

To confirm or disable Snooze

1. Tap on the Snooze icon in the upper right corner of the home screen
2. The Snooze details setup will pop up 
3.  Tap Stop Snooze to disable. 

How to troubleshoot:

 I turned on the Snooze for 2 hours, but I am still getting notifications. 

• Snooze only applies to myQ Video devices. You will still receive notifications regarding other products (door open/close, pin utilization, accessory activation, low battery). 
• A co-owner may have turned on snooze on their own device. 

I turned on the Snooze for 4 hours but am not getting notifications after 4 hours. 

• Ensure notifications are enabled on the device. 
• Check snooze duration selected. 

I don’t see the Snooze icon. 

• Update the app to the most recent version. 
• Ensure the camera is registered to the account. 

Can I turn on Snooze for only one camera?

• Snooze will disable notifications for all myQ Video devices, including those at other homes or locations.

Can I toggle off a notification while Snooze is active?

• When a notification is toggled off with Snooze enabled, Snooze will remain active on all video devices until the Snooze duration expires.

Can I create a notification while Snooze is active?

• Any new notifications created or toggled on while Snooze is active will be snoozed until the Snooze duration expires or is manually ended.
