myQ App Notifications Display Incorrect Time

If your myQ app notifications show the wrong time, it might be because the time zone settings are incorrect. Follow these simple steps to make sure your notifications display the correct time. 

Update Time Zone Settings in the myQ App

For Android Users

  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access Account Menu:
    • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap Menu.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials
  3. Tap Manage Account.
  4. Tap on Edit Profile.
  5. Tap Time Zone and select your zone location. Daylight savings time is automatically applied.
  6. Tap Save.
  7. Once the Time Zone has been updated, push notifications should now display the correct time.
  8. Open and close your garage door through the myQ app to verify the notification time.
    • If the time is incorrect, repeat the steps and adjust the time zone as needed.

For Apple Users

  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access Account Menu:
    • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap Menu.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials
  3. Tap Manage Account.
  4. Tap on Edit Profile.
  5. Tap Time Zone and select your location. Daylight savings time is incorporated.
  6. Tap Done.
  7. Tap Save.
  8. Once the Time Zone has been updated, push notifications should now display the correct time.
  9. Open and close your garage door through the myQ app to verify the notification time.
    • If the time is incorrect, repeat the steps and adjust the time zone as needed.

Additional Troubleshooting

  • If your event history does not match your local time, confirm that your phone’s time zone settings are correct.

  • Restart the myQ app after updating the time zone to ensure changes take effect.
