How to Resolve Monitor Door Only Mode in the myQ App

myQ App is Showing Monitor Door Only

When the app displays Monitor Door Only it means that the door sensor is paired to the hub, but the garage door opener itself is not paired to the hub.
 

Below are reasons why a garage door opener may not pair to a Chamberlain or LiftMaster Smart Garage Control, myQ Smart Garage Hub or myQ Garage.

• The garage door opener needs to be paired or re-paired to the hub. To pair your garage door opener with the hub, see below .
• Garage door opener is not compatible with the Smart Garage Hub or myQ Garage.
  • To check compatibility, view Garage Door Openers that are Compatible with the myQ Smart Garage Hub and MyQ Garage
• The door sensor is not installed properly.
  • The door sensor must be installed on the left or right side of the top panel on the garage door with the word TOP facing up.
    

    
• The brand of the garage door opener or learn button color is not correct when going through the steps in the app to pair.
  • Chamberlain, LiftMaster and Craftsman openers that have a PURPLE learn button  can sometimes appear BROWN. If your learn button looks BROWN, choose the PURPLE button  option when going through the in-app setup.
  • Chamberlain, LiftMaster and Craftsman garage door openers that have a RED/ORANGE learn button  may be programmed by choosing the GREEN button  option when going through the in-app setup. If you are having trouble pairing your garage door opener with a RED/ORANGE learn button , choose the GREEN button  option when going through the in-app setup.  
• Depending on the brand of garage door opener you are pairing, there may be more specific instructions to put the opener in program mode. (For specific steps for your garage door opener: See remote control programming instructions in your owners manual)

Pair a Garage Door Opener to a Smart Garage Hub or Smart Garage Control

1. Log into the myQ app
2. Tap Monitor Door Only
3. Select the brand of your garage motor
4. Locate your learn/program button and tap Found It
   • If prompted, select the color of the learn button you have
5. Press and quickly release the learn/program button on your garage door opener motor head and tap Next.
   • This will cause your garage door opener to move.
6. When the garage door opener is paired, tap Next.
7. Name your garage door and tap Next.
8. Mount the Smart Garage Hub or Smart Garage Control.
   • You can watch the video or follow the steps provided in the myQ app.
9. Tap Finish when you have successfully installed the hub.
10. Tap the garage door in the app to activate the door.
