Programming a Security+ Remote to Use the Open, Close and Stop Feature

To program your 3-Button remote control to utilize the open, close, stop features follow the steps below:

1. With the door closed, press and hold the large remote push button.

2. Press and hold the Lock button on the door control.

3. Press and hold the door control push button.

4. After the opener lights flash, release all buttons.

5. Test the Remote Control

To test your 3-Button remote control:

1. With the garage door closed, press the large (Open) button on the remote, the garage door should open.

2. While the door is opening, press the large (Open) button again and nothing should happen.

3. Press the middle (Close) button while the door is opening or closing and nothing should happen.

4. After the door is open, press the middle (Close) button to close the door.

5. During the opening or closing of the garage door, press the third (Stop) button to stop the door.
