How to Create, Manage, and Delete myQ Schedules

With myQ Scheduling, you can automate your myQ accessories, such as garage doors and lights, to perform actions at specific times. You can schedule your garage door to close or set lights to turn on and off automatically. You can also enable notifications to alert you when a scheduled action runs.

Important: For security reasons, garage doors can only be scheduled to close.

How to Create a myQ Schedule
  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access settings: 
    • If your app has a Gear Icon in the top right corner, tap the Gear Icon. 
    • If your app has a plus sign + in the lower right corner, tap the plus sign (+) 
  3. Tap Schedule.
  4. Tap the box next to the device(s) you want to schedule and tap the arrow to go to the next screen.
  5. Choose an action and/or tap the arrow to go to the next screen.
    • Select the action you want (on/off, close, lock/unlock, etc.).
    • Note: You need two separate schedules to turn lights on and off. One schedule to turn on a light, and another schedule to turn off the light.
  6. Set time:
    • Tap the time and enter the desired time you would like the scheduled action to occur.
  7. Select days:
    • Tap to select and highlight the desired days the action should take place. At least one day is required to be selected.
      Note: Days are highlighted in dark blue by default and turn light blue when selected.
  8. Select a Notification Type:
    • Choose push notifications and/or email for the desired type of Notification.
      Note: For garage doors, you will only receive a notification if the door is in the open position and the schedule runs to close it.
  9. In the space provided, enter a unique name for the schedule.
  10. Tap Save.

Note: If you do not see any schedules listed in the myQ app, this means you do not have any schedules set up. You will need to create a new schedule to automate your myQ accessories.

 

How to Enable and Disable myQ Schedules
  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access settings:
    • If your app has a Gear Icon in the top right corner, tap the Gear Icon. 
    • If your app has a Gear Icon next to the device on the home screen, tap the Gear icon next to the desired device.
  3. Tap Schedules.
  4. Locate the schedule you want to manage.
  5. Tap the Slider to enable or disable the schedule.

How to Delete myQ Schedules
  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access settings:
    • If your app has a Gear Icon in the top right corner
      • Tap the Gear Icon. > Tap Devices > Select the device you want to change > Tap Schedules
    • If your app has a Gear Icon next to each device on the home screen
      • Tap the Gear Icon next to the desired device > Tap Devices or Schedules   
  3. Tap the schedule you want to delete.
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Schedule.
  5. Tap Delete to confirm.

Alternate Steps to Delete Schedules

  1. Open the myQ app.
  2. Access settings:
    • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap the Menu.
    • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials.
  3. Tap Device Management.
  4. Tap the desired device.
  5. Tap Schedules.
  6. Select the schedule you want to delete, and tap Delete Schedule.
  7. Tap Delete to confirm.

 


Considerations:

  • The myQ Schedule feature is not available for first-generation myQ Garage hubs.
  • If your myQ Hub's serial number starts with 0300 or 0400, scheduling is unavailable.
  • Garage doors can only be scheduled to close (not open).
  • Lights can be scheduled to turn on or off.
  • Yale | LiftMaster Locks can only be scheduled to lock.
  • If your lock's battery is low, you must replace it before creating a schedule.
  • If you do not see any schedules listed in the myQ app, this means you do not have any schedules set up. You will need to create a new schedule to automate your myQ accessories.
