myQ Branded Remotes (current models or CH, L, & CMX)

  1. Open the Remote
    • If there’s a screw on the back: Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen it until it spins freely. Do not force it. With teh remote button side up, pry open the remote.
      • Tip: If the housing won't separate, double-check that the screw is rotating freely.
    • If there’s no screw: Insert a flathead screwdriver into the small gap in the corner of the remote. With the button side facing up, gently twist to separate the top and bottom housing.
  2. Replace the Battery
    • Push the old battery out toward the nearest edge of the remote.
    • Insert a new 3V CR2032 coin cell battery into the holder positive side up.
  3. . Reassemble the Remote
    • Align the top and bottom housing until they snap together.
    • If your remote has a screw, tighten it just enough to secure the housing
      • Note: Don’t overtighten—this can crack the plastic.
