If your Chamberlain garage door opener is beeping, it's trying to tell you something. Some models with battery backup or Wi-Fi connectivity use beeps to confirm actions or alert you to issues. The number of beeps can vary depending on the type of garage door opener and what it's doing.
NOTE: To temporarily stop the beeping while waiting on a new battery, unplug the unit and disconnect the battery. After disconnecting the battery, plug the unit back in and the beeping will stop. For more information on replacing the battery, see Chamberlain Battery Replacement Instructions.

If you do not have an 888LM, 889LM, or myQ garage installed, other sources of the beeping could be a smoke alarm, Carbon monoxide alarm, water softener, or another warning device in close proximity that can beep when it has a low battery.
New Obstruction Notifications (as of November 15, 2020)
Security+ 2.0 garage door openers now notify you if the door hits something while opening or closing:
When opening: If the door hits an object, it will stop, the opener will beep, and the lights will flash five times.
When closing: If the door hits an object, it will reverse, the opener will beep, and the lights will flash five times.
Note: If your garage door opener is connected to Wi-Fi, it will automatically update to include these notifications. If it's not Wi-Fi-enabled but still under warranty, you can replace the logic board to get these features.
In addition to the beeps heard from the Security+2.0 garage door openers, Wi-Fi Garage Door Openers will also beep under the following conditions:
