Amazon Key | Co-Owners

myQ Co-Owners can link their accounts to Amazon Key to use their shared garage doors for Amazon in-garage deliveries. Here’s how to connect:

How to Link Accounts

• Connected Owner invites Co-Owner to connect to Amazon Key

• Co-Owner signs up with existing shared garage doors

A Co-Owner is typically a trusted family member or friend who has almost the same access as the Owner. They can control devices, view history, set up schedules, and invite others. Co-Owners must be added to the account before they can link to Amazon Key. Only 2 Co-Owners are allowed per account.

Connected Owner Invites Co-Owner to Connect to Amazon Key

1. Open the myQ app.
2. Access Account Menu:
   • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap Menu.
   • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials. 

2. Tap on Amazon Key and then tap Invite Co-Owner.

3. Tap Next.

4. Check the box next to which Co-Owners you want to invite, and tap Send Invitation.  The selected Co-Owner(s) will receive an email, myQ notification, and invitation within the myQ app.

Co-Owner Accepts Invitation from a Connected Owner

1. Open the myQ app.
2. Access Account Menu:
   • If your app shows Menu in the bottom right corner, tap Menu.
   • If your app shows your Initials in the top left corner, tap your Initials. 
3. Tap on Amazon Key.

4. Tap on Pending Connection request.

5. Tap Accept and Continue on the How it Works screen.

6. Sign in with your Amazon credentials.

7. Select the address where the garage is located. If more than one address is showing, you may be prompted to choose this address as your default address.

8. Confirm your preferred delivery option and tap Done/Save.

9. Tap Finish on You’re All Set page to return to the myQ home screen.

Additional Information: 

• If a Co-Owner does not appear after clicking Invite Co-Owner, they need to be added through the Users option in the myQ app. Once added, they will appear on the invitation screen. You can have only 2 Co-Owners per account.
• To remove Amazon Key from your myQ account, you must do so directly through Amazon.
