Why the Garage Door Monitor stopped working

The Garage Door Monitor consists of an indoor receiver and a battery-powered sensor. The sensor is mounted to the garage door and transmits a signal to the indoor receiver. If the battery inside the sensor is low, the sensor will transmit a weak signal that may not be detected by the indoor receiver. If the Garage Door Monitor has suddenly malfunctioned after working properly, try replacing the battery first.

Interference

Physical objects, or material inside the walls of your home, could be blocking the sensor's signal. Try moving the indoor receiver inside the garage. If the Garage Door Monitor works with the indoor receiver in close proximity to the sensor, the indoor receiver may need to be moved to a room closer to the garage.

Loss of signal

The connection between the indoor receiver and sensor may have been lost. Try clearing the memory of the indoor receiver and reprogramming the sensor. Refer to the Owner's Manual for instructions on clearing and reprogramming the Garage Door Monitor.
