How to update firmware on the ARQ™ remote control
Your ARQ™ remote control is compatible with a variety of garage door openers. When new manufacturers are added to the compatibility list, you need to upgrade the firmware in the remote in order to program to the additional products.
To verify if a firmware update is needed for your ARQ™ remote control, ARQ™ - TM100 and TM110 Compatibility List.
How to update the ARQ™ Firmware:
- Download the ARQ™ App from the App Store® or Google Play™ and install it.
- You'll receive a prompt if Bluetooth is not enabled. Go to SETTINGS on your mobile device and turn on Bluetooth.
- Tap AGREE for the licensing agreement.
- If prompted, tap UPDATE to update the app to the newest version.
- Review the SAFETY TIPS, then tap NEXT.
- To pair your mobile device to your ARQ™ remote control, press and hold both outer buttons on the remote control at the same time until the GREEN LED stays solid. This may take three to five seconds.
- On the app, tap the PAIR button.
- If you see "Pairing Success" tap NEXT.
- You should be prompted with "Firmware update available" agree to update the firmware.
- After the firmware has been updated, tap NEXT.
If you are programming the ARQ™ remote control to a garage door opener with switches, follow the remaining steps within the app.
If you are programming the ARQ™ remote control to a garage door opener with a learn button, exit the app and follow the programming steps for a program or learn button in your users guide.
