Program Travel Limits on Models with Black and Purple Buttons

    WARNING
Without a properly installed safety reversal system, persons (particularly small children) could be SERIOUSLY INJURED or KILLED by a closing garage door.
    • Too much force on the garage door will interfere with proper operation of the safety reversal system.
    • NEVER use force adjustments to compensate for a binding or sticking garage door.
    • After ANY adjustments are made, the safety reversal system MUST be tested. Door MUST reverse on contact with 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) high object (or 2x4 laid flat) on floor.
    CAUTION
To prevent damage to vehicles, be sure the fully open door provides adequate clearance.

The buttons used to program the travel are located on the back of the garage door opener and are black and purple.

Setting the UP Position on Garage Door Travel Limits

    1. Locate the black and purple buttons on the back of your garage door opener.
    2. Press and hold the black button until the yellow LED starts flashing slowly, then release.
    3. Push and hold the black button until the door reaches the desired UP (open) position.
    4. Adjust the position of the door by using the black and purple buttons. Black moves the door UP (open) and purple moves the door DOWN (close).
NOTE: Check to be sure the door opens high enough for your vehicle.
    5. Push the remote control or door control. This sets the UP (open) limit and begins closing the door.
    6. As soon as the door begins to move down, press and release either the black or purple button. This will stop the door.

Setting the DOWN Position on Garage Door Travel Limits

    1. Push and hold the purple button until the door reaches the desired DOWN (close) position.
    2. Once the door is closed, if there appears to have too much pressure on the door, you may toggle the door back and forth using the black and purple buttons to reach the desired closed position.
    3. Push the remote control or the door control. This sets the DOWN (close) limit and should bring the door to the open position.
    4. Open and close the door with the remote control or door control two or three times.
