Error Description

Users will experience Error Code 5-5 when the opener receives an unattended close command and the remote myQ Smart LED Light is not installed. 


For safety purposes, the myQ Smart LED Light must be installed and paired with the garage door opener before using the myQ app to close the door. The remote light will emit a sound (beep) and flash as a warning when the door begins to close. 


Symptoms of Error

When using the myQ app to close the garage door, the door will not move and will remain in the open position.


How to Fix

Install and program the myQ Smart LED Light with the garage door opener.
