Smart Garage Control

A myQ Garage, Smart Garage Hub or Smart Garage Control is a separate device that connects a compatible garage door opener to the myQ app. It connects to your home Wi-Fi network and links your opener to your myQ account—allowing you to open, close, and monitor your garage door from anywhere.

This article will guide you through connecting your hub to your home’s Wi-Fi and adding it to your myQ account using the myQ app. Setup steps are slightly different for iOS and Android, so be sure to follow the instructions for your device.

Before You Begin

You will need: 

• A smartphone with the myQ app installed
• A Wi-Fi router (2.4 GHz frequency required)

• A strong Wi-Fi signal in your garage

• Your Wi-Fi network and password
• A compatible garage door opener
