myQ Smart Garage Camera | Flashing Blue LED, Unable to Connect to Wi-Fi

Quick Answer: A flashing blue LED means the camera is ready to connect to your home Wi-Fi network. If this is your first setup attempt, set up the camera in the myQ app. If setup was already attempted, remove the camera from your phone's Bluetooth settings, power cycle the camera, then reset it before trying setup again.

  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Find the myQ Smart Garage Camera in the list. It will start with SGC.
  4. Tap the information (i) icon next to the camera.
  5. Tap Forget This Device.

Android

  5. Tap the Settings gear next to the camera.

Once the camera has been removed from Bluetooth settings, continue to Power Cycle the Camera.

Power Cycle the Camera

Unplug the camera for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait 40 seconds for the LED status to update.

Set Up the Camera Again

Before you start setup again, factory reset the myQ Smart Garage Camera.
  1. Locate the reset pinhole on the side of the camera.
  2. Using a safety pin or paper clip, press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds.
  3. Release the reset button.

The camera will restart. The LED will turn solid white and then flash blue, indicating that the camera is ready for setup again.

Set Up in the myQ App

Follow the in-app setup process to connect the myQ Smart Garage Camera.

  1. Keep your mobile device close to the camera, then see myQ Smart Garage Camera | Set Up in the myQ App.
  2. If you still get a flashing blue LED, type the Wi-Fi password by hand instead of pasting or auto-filling it, since that can add an extra character.
  3. If you are unsure of your Wi-Fi password and it has never been changed, check the sticker on the bottom of your router. If it has changed, contact your internet service provider.
  4. If you are using the correct Wi-Fi password and still get a flashing blue LED, contact your internet service provider to verify your router settings. See myQ Cameras | Wi‑Fi Network Requirements and Recommended Router Settings. Once the settings are confirmed, complete the in-app setup for the myQ Smart Garage Camera.
