Access Device Control

Examples used are Pixel 4a and Galaxy S21. This guide is for Android OS 11 or newer. The process is similar in newer versions minus slight user interface changes due to physical device differences.

The first thing to do is to surface the smart home device control dashboard.

  • On Android 11 phone, press and hold the power button.
  • On Android 12 phone, device control is available in Quick Settings. Note: On Pixel phones, you may need to tap the edit button and drag and drop the device control tile to Quick Settings on the top.
