Link the myQ Garage Access App to myQ Community App

Before you start, you will need to make sure that your myQ Community App is updated to the latest version.

Linking your myQ Garage Access app with the myQ Community app: 

1. Open the myQ Community app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on your initials found in the upper left corner
3. Tap on Works With
4. Select myQ
5. Tap Link with myQ at the bottom of the app.
6. Click OK to allow the myQ Community app to use Bluetooth.
7. Sign in to your myQ Garage Access account using your email address and password.

 
After successfully signing in you will be brought back to the myQ Community app home screen. A new Home Access tab will appear next to the Community Access tab. This is the tab you will use to control your myQ-connected garage door openers.

To activate the garage door, tap the garage door button.

Monitoring the Position of the Garage Door

In addition to controlling your garage door, you are able to monitor the positioning of the door.

• When the door is closed, the app will say the door is closed and will display a closed garage door icon.
• When the door is opened, the app will say the door is opened and will display an open garage door icon.

Note: This is only used to operate and monitor the myQ-connected garage door openers linked to your myQ Garage Access app. You will still need to use the myQ Garage Access app for other functions such as connecting to partners, assigning co-owners, accessing your in-home myQ cameras, and more.
