Differences between each Wall Mount Garage Door Opener Model

The differences between each model of the Wall Mount Garage Door/Residential Jackshaft Opener will vary. See below for more details and please refer to your manual when ordering or looking for replacement parts.
 

3800 Series:

With the exception of the travel module (absolute encoder), all other replacement parts are the same. Accessories may vary depending on the package purchased from your dealer.

• The 3800 uses a different absolute encoder or travel module, part number #041A6118.

• The 3800P uses an improved absolute encoder or travel module, part #041A6408.

• The 3800PLD also uses an absolute encoder or travel module, part #041A6408. The logic board was improved to allow 10 cycles per hour. The LD in PLD stands for Light Duty.

8500, RJO20 and RJO20C:

• Model 8500 moved the programming of the accessories to the door control which allowed a user to connect the unit to the internet by way of accessory model 828LM Internet Gateway.

• New retail models RJO20 and RJO20C also have the programming of accessories done from the door control and users can connect the unit to the internet by way of accessory model 828LM Internet Gateway.

8500W, RJO70, RJO70C:

• Model 8500W introduces built in Wi-Fi. Once connected to your home network, this will allow you to use the MyQ app without additional equipment.

• Accessory programming can be done from motor unit

RJO101, RJO101C, 98022:

• Cable Tension Monitor is not required and can be added as an accessory

• Needs the garage door profile to be set up when installed

• The logic board is backward compatible with the 8500W/RJO70
