What happens to my subscription if I delete my camera from the myQ app?

If you attempt to delete your camera in the myQ app, a message will display advising you that an active subscription needs to be canceled. Note: You will continue to be billed if you do not cancel your subscription.


What happens when you cancel your myQ Video Monitoring subscription?

Your subscription will remain active until the end of your billing cycle. At the end of your subscription billing cycle, you will lose access to the following features:

  • Video Storage: Record and save events for up to 30 days. Tag and download the most important videos to easily find them later and share them with others.
  • Smart Detection: Receive alerts to instantly know what has triggered your camera.
    • Motion Detection - Receive a notification to know when a camera detects motion in or around the garage.
    • People Detection – Receive a notification to know when a camera detects a person seen in or around the garage.
    • Face Detection*- Save time and know at a glance who is coming and going from your home. Get a notification when a recognized face is seen at or near your garage.
  • Detection Zones: Quality over quantity. Receive fewer, more meaningful notifications by customizing the areas that your camera monitors.
  • Preview Notifications - Press & hold the notification to quickly see what happened from your phone’s lock screen.
  • Customize Settings – For a personalized experience, select which alerts you see in the myQ app.
  • Motion Sensitivity- Adjust motion sensitivity to customize the level of movement your camera detects.


How do I cancel a myQ Video Monitoring Subscription?

  1. Click on your initials in the upper left corner
  2. Select myQ Video Storage
  3. Then tap Manage Subscription
  4. Enter your myQ services login credentials if prompted to
  5. Select Cancel on the subscription you would like to cancel
  6. After canceling, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle and will not be renewed



*Face Detection is supported in the US and CA, excluding the state of Illinois for all devices. It is also excluded in Texas & Washington for all LiftMaster or Chamberlain garage door openers with integrated camera and the myQ Smart Garage Camera (models myQ-SGC1WLM & myQ-SGC1WCH with serial numbers beginning TC-0001).
