History

How long are video clips stored in the app's event history? 

The basic myQ Community subscription keeps video recordings of events for 24 hours. These recordings are accessible on the Activity tab. Anything beyond 24 hours will not be accessible via the app. The advanced myQ Community subscription plan allows you to record and save videos for up to 30 days.


Why don't I see thumbnails or videos in my history logs? 

There are multiple factors that can affect the speed of upload from the LiftMaster Smart Video Intercom to myQ Cloud. 

  • Wi-Fi strength 
  • Size of the video 
  • Number of videos to upload 
  • App users may not see their video in history logs until the upload is complete and available in myQ Cloud. 


Why do I not hear any sound/audio for videos stored in my history log? 

To maintain your privacy and the privacy of your guests we do not enable audio for historic video clips. You will be able to have a two-way interaction with your visitor/guest when you are on a video call. Still, that same event, when reviewed after the exchange, will not contain the associated audio in the history logs. 


How do I download a video clip from my history? 

To download a video clip from your history, go to the app's history menu and select the video that you want to download. Tap the save video icon in top right corner of the screen and select "Save Video". This action will download the video to your device's gallery or photos.
