Security+ 3.0 Keypads | Programming to TECHNA Barrier Gate Operator

How to Program MAX (L979M, CH348) and Universal (L979U, CHU48) Keypads to TECHNA Operators

Ensure the area around the gate clear. The gate will move during programming and verification.
Read all instructions carefully before starting.
Keypads are preset to Security+ 3.0 out of the box. Because TECHNA Operators use Security+ 2.0, you must put the keypad into Programming Mode to pair it.
Programming allows the keypad to provide single-button control with a 4-digit PIN.

Press and hold the 0 and 3 buttons simultaneously.
Continue holding until the LEDs remain solidly lit (about 6 seconds), then release the buttons.
- MAX Keypad (L979M, CH348): LEDs will be solid red.
- UNIVERSAL Keypad (L979U, CHU48): LEDs will be solid blue.

On the main control board, use the LCD Display and Navigation Buttons:
- Green arrow button: Enter
- Up/Down arrows: Scroll
- Red stop button: Back out
Press the green arrow to enter the Menu.
Scroll to Transmitter Add and press the green arrow.
Select ALL FUNCTIONS for SBC (single button control).
Select LEARN and press the green arrow.
When the display shows “Press to Learn”:
- MAX Keypad (red LEDs): Enter your 4-digit PIN, then press HOME two times.
- Universal Keypad (blue LEDs): Enter your 4-digit PIN, then press HOME three times.
- The display will confirm with “SBC Learned”, and the keypad LEDs will flash intermittently.
Wait for the LCD to display “Transmitter Learned”, then exit the menu.
When the gate operator begins moving and the keypad LEDs blink, press the HOME button once.

Make sure you are out of Programming Mode on the TECHNA operator. Enter your 4-digit PIN and press the HOME button.
If programming was successful, the operator will move the gate.
If the gate does not move, repeat programming steps.
