NOTE: The 888LM or 889LM myQ Control Panel is found on the Accessories page, under Included Accessories in the Carton Inventory section. The myQ Control Panel is covered by the Parts Warranty for the 8500 only as its required for the remotes to work. 

• Work light must be installed for visual confirmation of blinking lights.
• Chassis cover changed from Burgundy to Black in January 2018.
• During travel setup, Diagnostic codes are not present
• Programming of Security+ 2.0 accessories is done with the "Learn" button on the myQ control panel. The black and yellow buttons on the opener are only used for travel and force programming.

The manual does not show the instructions for programming the light to one of the remote buttons. The instructions are listed below.

1. With the door closed, press and hold one of the buttons on your remote control, currently not used to open/closed the garage door.

2. Press and hold the Lock button on the myQ Control Panel.

3. While holding the Lock button, press and hold the Light button on the door control.

4. After the opener lights flash, release all three buttons. If light bulbs are not installed, two clicks will be heard.

NOTE: This will not work with universal remote controls.
