If you’ve updated your home Wi-Fi—like changing your router, password, network name, or security settings—you’ll need to clear your myQ device’s current Wi-Fi settings before reconnecting. Follow the steps below based on the type of product you have.
You can change the Wi-Fi settings for any compatible myQ device using the app:
Open the myQ app.
Tap the Gear Icon to go to Settings.
Tap Devices, then select your device.
Scroll down and tap Change Wi-Fi Settings.
Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect to your new Wi-Fi network.
Use the dropdowns below to find step-by-step instructions for your specific myQ product.
Find the black adjustment button between the up and down arrows on the garage door opener.
Press and hold this button until you hear three beeps.
You’ll hear one beep first.
Keep holding for around 6 seconds until the up arrow starts blinking and you hear three beeps total.
If no settings are saved, you'll only hear one beep.
Wait for the LED to turn off. This means Wi-Fi settings are cleared.
For a wall-mounted Wi-Fi garage door opener, the black adjustment button is located under the front cover. Lift the cover-up and locate the button.
To reconnect the opener to your home Wi-Fi network, see Connect myQ Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener to Wi-Fi. If your opener has an integrated camera, verify the camera is functioning after updating your Wi-Fi settings.
To reset the Wi-Fi garage door opener back to the factory default settings, see How to Factory Reset a myQ Garage Door Opener.
Make sure the green LED is on or blinking.
Press and hold the settings (gear) button on the side until the blue LED blinks.
Once blinking, your device is ready to connect to Wi-Fi again.

⚠️ Warning: This removes door sensors and deletes the device from your myQ account.
With the green LED still on or blinking, press and hold the gear button until the blue LED starts blinking.
Quickly press and hold the button again until you hear a beep or see the blue LED pause.
Your device is now reset to factory settings.
Press and hold the gray button on the back for 6–8 seconds.
When the LED blinks blue, your keypad is ready to be reconnected to Wi-Fi.
