myQ Outdoor Battery Camera | How to Set Up

The myQ Outdoor Battery Camera helps you monitor your property by offering wireless video coverage wherever you need it. This guide walks you through setting up the camera using the myQ app.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following:

• A smartphone or tablet
• A 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz home Wi-Fi network
• A strong Wi-Fi signal at the camera’s mounting location
• Your Wi-Fi network name and password
• Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device
• A fully charged camera

Note: The LED must be blinking blue to begin setup. If it’s not blinking or is blinking blue/green, press and hold the reset button (bottom of the camera) until the LED turns solid white, then release. The LED will switch to blinking blue when ready for pairing.

Setup the Outdoor Battery Camera in the myQ App

1. Open the myQ app and log in.
2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner, then tap Devices.
3. Tap Add a New Device or the + icon.
4. Select Camera, then tap Outdoor Battery Camera.
5. Confirm the camera is fully charged and tap Continue.
6. Tap It’s Fully Charged, then Get Started.
7. Press and hold the reset button on the camera until the LED turns solid blue, then release. The LED will begin blinking blue when it's ready for pairing.
8. Tap Continue in the app.
9. On the “We’re Finding Your Camera” screen, tap your camera.
   • If prompted, tap Pair to allow Bluetooth pairing.
10. Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.
11. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap Next.
12. Name your camera and select its location in your home.
13. Tap Continue.
14. Tap Get Started.

Multiple Cameras
The myQ app supports more than one camera. Repeat the setup process for each one. Give each camera a unique name so you can easily tell them apart in the app.

Mount the Camera

1. Choose a mounting location for your camera.
2. Hold the camera at the intended mounting location and view the livestream in the app to preview the field of view.
   • The app will display signal strength and offer placement tips.
3. Install the mounting plate.
4. Screw the magnetic base onto the mounting plate..
5. Attach the camera onto the base. (Do not tighten the ball joint yet.)
6. Adjust the camera angle and preview the view using livestream.
7. Tighten the ball joint once the angle is set.

Your myQ Outdoor Battery Camera is now ready to use!

Tip: Keep an eye on the LED status light throughout the setup.
If setup fails, use the last LED color you saw to troubleshoot.
