Laser parking assist: 3 screw terminal wiring instructions

Follow the directions in the CLLP1 and CLLP1C or 975LM, 975LMC and use the directions for "Installing 2 parking assists". You will also be using the wire nuts (should be included).

1. Remove the 2 white/black stripe safety sensor wires from screw #3 on the motor.
 

 

2. Remove the 2 white safety sensor wires from screw #2 on the motor.

• Leave the one white door control wire on screw #2 and do nothing with the white/red wire on screw #1.

 

3. Cut about 6" from the end of the provided parking assist wire. Separate the white and white/black stripe wires then strip about 1/2 inch of insulation from both ends of both wires. These will be called connection wires.
 

 

4. Take one end of the white connection wire, the white wire from the parking assist, and the white wires you removed from screw #2 and twist them together. Secure with the wire nut.
 

 

5. Take the other end of the connection wire and wrap it around screw #2, joining the white door control wire that is still there. Secure by tightening screw. You should have just 2 white wires now on screw #2.
 

 

6. Take one end of the white/black stripe connection wire, the white/black stripe wire from the parking assist, and the white/black stripe wires you removed from screw #3 and twist them together. Secure with the other wire nut. 

    7.  Take the other end of the white/black stripe connection wire and wrap it around screw #3. Secure by tightening screw.
