Chamberlain Wireless Products – Programming multiple intercoms to a single network

The wireless intercoms can form a network of up to 12 intercoms. This includes any combination of NLS2, NDIS and NTD2. Each intercom can only belong to one network. When programming 4 or more intercoms, be careful not to form separate networks. Follow these steps to program multiple intercoms to create one network. This is a daisy-chain method that ensures that all the intercoms are programmed to one network.

  1. Clear out each intercom. To do so, hold the learn button. You will hear a beep. Continue to hold until a second beep is heard (about 6 seconds) then release.

  2. On the NLS2 intercoms, make sure they are on the same channel. It is recommended to use the paging channel. Use the channel button to cycle through until each intercom is on the same channel.

  3. Arrange the intercoms in a line in front of you, going from left to right.

  4. Start on one end, say the left. Press the learn button on the first intercom until a beep is heard, then release. Then press the learn button on the second one until a beep is heard. It may take up to 3 1/2 minutes for the two intercoms to create a network.

  5. Test the first and second intercoms to make sure they communicate. The first two intercoms now have created a network.

  6. Press the learn button on the third intercom until a beep is heard, then release. Now press the learn button on the second intercom until the beep is heard, then release. Again, it can take up to 3 1/2 minutes for the third intercom to join the network.

  7. Test that the third intercom is communicating with the first and second intercoms.

  8. Program each new intercom in this matter. Program the next intercom to the last one that was added to the network. The fourth intercom will program to the third intercom, the fifth intercom will program to the fourth intercom and so forth. After adding an intercom, test that it is communicating with the network.
